Portia Love-Walker
Founder & Executive Director
Portia Love-Walker is a passionate leader, mother, and community advocate who has dedicated her life to being a light for others. As the founder and executive director of the Foundation of Vision, Purpose, and Determination, Portia brings compassion, strength, and a clear mission: to uplift, empower, and transform lives, one person, one family, one community at a time.
Helping others has always been at the heart of who Portia is. From a young age, she knew she was called to serve, and that calling has guided her through every chapter of her life. With an unshakable belief in seeing the good in every situation, Portia leads her foundation with hope and determination, driven by a deep desire to make a lasting impact.
As a proud mother of four beautiful daughters, Portia knows the value of love, support, and stability. Family is her foundation, and it’s the same energy she brings to every program and person within her nonprofit. Her work is rooted in real-life experience and fueled by her commitment to giving others the same care and opportunities she wants for her own children.
One of Portia’s proudest achievements is launching her first major project under the foundation Raised By Love, a Short-Term Residential Therapeutic Program (STRTP). This home is a safe, nurturing environment for youth in need of healing, structure, and support. Raised By Love stands as a powerful symbol of the foundation’s mission, created with heart, led by purpose, and grounded in the belief that love and stability can change lives.
